Rolle rückwärts: Die russische Notenbank hat am Freitag den Leitzins um zwei Punkte auf 15,0 Prozent zurückgenommen. Der Inflationsdruck durch die zuletzt starke Abwertung des Rubels habe nachgelassen, hieß es zur Begründung.
Die US-Ratingagentur S&P hatte die Note für die Kreditwürdigkeit Russlands am Montag gesenkt. Die Herabstufung auf "Ramschniveau" bedeutet, dass Geldanlagen in Staatstitel Russlands als hochspekulativ eingestuft werden.
Der DAX beendet den letzten Handelstag des Jahres voraussichtlich mit einem Minus. Auf Jahressicht legt der Leitindex aber rund 3% zu.
Der US-Dollar ist am Dienstag weiterhin gefragt. EUR/USD hat bei 1,2120 ein frisches Zweieinhalbjahrestief erreicht, während USD/CHF bei 0,9919 ein neues Zweieinhalbjahreshoch markierte.
Geht es allein nach dem Rubel Chart, dann ist die Welt schon wieder fast in Ordnung. In 5 Handelstagen legte der Rubel gegenüber dem USD vom Tief 40% zu. Der Schein trügt ein wenig.
