Orascom Development ernennt neuen CEO Oman und Leiter Destination Management Ägypten

Mit sofortiger Wirkung hat Orascom Development Hamza Selim, momentan Leiter des Segmentes Destination Management, als neuen CEO Oman ernannt. Die Ernennung unterstreicht das Vorhaben der Gruppe die Aktivitäten in Oman in den nächsten Jahren auszuweiten. Als Folge des Wechsels scheidet Hamza Selim aus der Geschäftsleitung der Orascom Development aus. Darüber hinaus wird Amin Serag, seit acht Jahren bei der Gruppe, zum Leiter Destination Management Ägypten ernannt.

Altdorf/Kairo, 11. Juni 2013 - der momentane Leiter des Segmentes Destination Management der Orascom Development Holding AG (Orascom Development), Hamza Selim, wurde zum CEO von Muriya und zum Leiter der Länderorganisation Oman ernannt.

Hamza Selim kam im Jahre 2005 zur Orascom Development und war bis dato als Leiter des Segmentes Destination Management für die tägliche Führung der Destinationen in Ägypten und in Oman zuständig. Hamza Selim ist zudem ein ehemaliges Mitglied des Verwaltungsrates von Muriya, dem Joint-Venture zwischen Orascom Development (70 % Beteiligung) und Omran (30 % Beteiligung), einer staatlichen Gesellschaft zur Entwicklung von Tourismusdestinationen im Oman.

In seiner neuen Position wird Hamza Selim die Länderorganisation in Oman führen welche die operativen Städte Jebel Sifah und Salalah Beach sowie weitere Entwicklungsprojekte umfasst. Als Folge der Ernennung wird Hamza Selim aus der Geschäftsleitung der Orascom Development ausscheiden.

Zudem wurde Amin Serag zum Leiter Destination Management in Ägypten ernannt, welches unter anderem die Städte El Gouna am Roten Meer und Taba Heights auf der Sinai-Halbinsel beinhaltet. Amin Serag bleibt weiterhin für die Führung von Orascom Development and Management verantwortlich, einer 100 %igen Tochtergesellschaft der Orascom Development, die Entwicklungs- und Managementkompetenz für Drittparteien anbietet und die die Destination Makadi in der Nähe von Hurghada betreibt.

Amin Serag verfügt über 18 Jahre an Erfahrung in den Bereichen Immobilien, Bau, Unterhalt und Bewirtschaftung und hielt mehrere leitende Funktionen in internationalen Unternehmen bevor er vor acht Jahren zur Orascom Development kam.

Über die Gruppe Orascom Development ist ein führender Entwickler von integrierten Ortschaften/Städten, die Hotels, Privatvillen, Wohnungen, Freizeiteinrichtungen wie etwa Golfplätze und Jachthäfen aber auch unterstützende Infrastruktur umfassen. Das breit diversifizierte Portfolio von Orascom Development umfasst Destinationen in neun Ländern (Ägypten, Vereinigte Arabische Emirate, Jordanien, Oman, Schweiz, Marokko, Montenegro, Grossbritannien und Rumänien).
